In this article, we will walk you through how to play GemSTON and how to participate in the MVP testing phase of the game. If you’re unsure about the game mechanics, economy model, and overall structure, we recommend reading the following article first for a complete overview.

Overview: GemSTON Game Mechanics and Economy Model

GemSTON is a blockchain game built on Layer 2 technology, offering fast and cost-efficient transactions. It’s an exciting experience where you can collect, mine, forge, and trade various gems while exploring a complex economy. The game features a unique economic model, allowing you to earn rewards based on the gems you collect and your strategies. Each gem is an NFT backed by staked TON, designed to appreciate in value over time.

In this MVP testing phase, we’ve created a Google Form to collect any bugs or issues you encounter during your gameplay. Please use the form to report bugs and help us improve the game.

Important Note to Consider from the Economy Model:

For MVP testing, we’ve integrated the economy model into the game and outlined all the values and rules associated with each feature.

How to Play GemSTON:

Follow the steps below to get started with the GemSTON MVP testing phase:

1. Access the Game:

Go to the GemSTON MVP: GemSTON MVP Market

2. Set Up Your Wallet:

You’ll need a Metamask wallet to connect to the game.
For testing purposes, we recommend using a new Ethereum account and funding it with some Sepolia ETH from any faucet.
Then, click on Connect Wallet

3. Get TON Tokens:

To play GemSTON, you need TON tokens on the Thanos Sepolia Network.
If you don’t have TON, follow the steps below to get it.

4. Get Free TON on Sepolia Testnet:

Visit this URL to get 1200 TON per wallet on the Sepolia network: Free TON on Sepolia

Click on the Contract tab.
Then, click on the Write tab.
Connect your wallet by clicking on Connect to Web3.
Click on requestTokens.
Finally, click the Write button and sign the MetaMask message.
You will receive 1200 TON in your wallet.

5. Bridge TON to Thanos Sepolia Testnet:

After receiving the 1200 TON, you need to bridge these tokens to the Thanos Sepolia Testnet.

Click on ‘Connect Wallet,’ then select NativeToken (TON). Enter the amount you want to bridge and click ‘Approve,’ followed by ‘Deposit.’ This will bridge your TON from Sepolia to Thanos Sepolia.

6. Game Ready:

Once you have a TON on the Thanos Sepolia Testnet, you are ready to play!

Gameplay Walkthrough:

Now that your setup is complete, here’s how you can start playing GemSTON and exploring the game features:

1. Account Section:

Open the Account Section and you’ll be able to see your TON balance.

2. Market:

Navigate to the Market Page to acquire some Gems.

3. Buying Gems:

Purchase Common Gems using your TON.

4. Chest Page:

Open the Chest Page to view your Gems.

5. Random Gem Pack:

Try the Random Gem Pack feature, where you can get higher-level gems based on your luck.

6. Mining Gems:

Once you have Rare Gems, head to the Mine Section.
Wait for the Cooldown Period and you’ll be able to mine more gems.

7. Mining Success:

Check the probability of successful mining.
When ready, click on Ready to Mine.
After the mining period, click on Collect Gem to see if you’ve received a new gem. If unlucky, you’ll receive a failure message.

8. Forge Gems:

You can Forge Gems to upgrade them.
Use 2 Common Gems to get 1 Rare Gem of your choice (burning the 2 Common Gems in the process).

9. Selling Gems:

To sell a gem, open your chest, choose the gem you want to sell, set the secondary sale price, and list it in the marketplace.

10. Melt Gems:

If you want to claim your staked TON backed by each gem, you can click on Melt to burn the gem and get the staked amount back into your wallet.

Participating in MVP Testing:

Your participation in the MVP testing will help us identify bugs and improve the game. If you encounter any issues during the testing phase, please report them using the GemSTON Bug Reporting Form

By participating in the testing phase and providing valuable feedback, you’ll also have the opportunity to qualify for upcoming airdrops!

Please note that our current project uses a mock random beacon. Any bug related to the randomness used within our project is not applicable until DRB team release its final product.
